Privacy Policy

Milk Jar is a pocket ledger for local dairy routes. This policy explains what information the apps and website handle, and what happens to it. The short version: your records are your business — we keep only what's needed to run the features you use, and we never sell it.
Records on your device
Customers, deliveries, payments, jar deposits, schedules, and reports are stored locally on your phone or tablet. On the free plan and with the one-time unlock, everything stays on your device — we have no copy and no way to see it.
Cloud sync (Milk Jar Pro)
If you subscribe to Pro and set up a sync account, your dairy's records are also stored on our servers so we can provide cloud backup, multi-device sync, the customer portal, and team sign-ins. Data is encrypted in transit. We use it only to run these features — never for advertising, and we never sell it or share it with third parties beyond the hosting providers that run our infrastructure.
Sync accounts
A sync account is an email address. We use it to sign you in (including emailed sign-in links) and for messages about your account or service status. No marketing lists.
The customer portal
When a dairy invites a customer to the portal, that customer can see the information their dairy keeps for them — upcoming deliveries, balances, recorded payments — and send requests back. Each dairy controls who is invited; customers only ever see their own record.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the one-time unlock are billed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your card number or billing details.
Diagnostics
The apps may send crash reports and performance diagnostics so we can find and fix problems. These are technical in nature; they are not used to profile you.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes the records stored on your device. To delete a sync account and the cloud copy of its records, email support@themilkjar.com and we'll remove them.
